The Story of the Founder, Horst Rechelbacher

Horst M. Rechelbacher, the founder of Intelligent Nutrients, was a pioneer who united beauty and sustainability. Raised in the lush natural environment of Austria, he was fascinated by the power of plants from a young age. After moving to the U.S., he worked as a hairdresser and went on to found the world-renowned brand Aveda in 1978.

His revolutionary idea—“making people beautiful through the gifts of nature”—transformed the beauty industry. Yet his curiosity and passion did not stop there. After leaving Aveda, Horst launched Intelligent Nutrients with the vision of creating “products that are 100% safe for people and the planet.”

His philosophy is simple:
“Beauty comes from health, and health comes from the Earth.”
